MPC video template

Content guideline for MPC video - right/wrong feedback Template

The MPC video template asks a question where learners pick a video as their answer. After answering, learners get right or wrong feedback.

Setting it up

You set up this template in the left panel and directly in the preview in Studio. The numbers in the screenshots match the numbers in the text.

In the left panel

1. Show instructions (checkbox)

  • Shows an instruction line under the question.

  • The line reads "Select the correct answer".

  • Uncheck it to hide the line.

2. Allow multiselect (checkbox)

  • Lets learners select more than one video.

  • Leave it unchecked when there is only one correct answer.

In the preview

You edit the question, the answer options and the feedback directly in the preview.

✏️ Tip

Use the ?, ✓ and × buttons above the preview to switch between the question, the correct feedback and the incorrect feedback.

Question

  1. Heading: a short heading above the question.

  2. Description: extra context for the learner before the question.

  3. Question: the question learners answer.

  4. Instruction line: shown when Show instructions is on.

  5. Answer option: a video with a short text underneath.

Click any text to edit it.

Answer options

Click an option to select it.

  1. Use the arrow up or arrow down button to move the option, or the red trash button to delete it.

  2. Click the pencil icon on the video to choose one of these options:

    1. Upload video: upload a video from your computer

    2. Select from library: use a video you uploaded before

  3. Click the circle in front of the text to mark the option as the correct answer.

    1. The default text of a new option is "Option".

Feedback

  1. Click ✓ to see the correct feedback, or × to see the incorrect feedback.

    1. The default correct feedback is "Absolutely correct!" with the text "Your expertise is shining through."

    2. The default incorrect feedback is "Not quite right" with the text "Take a moment to reflect on your choice and give it another go."

  2. The preview shows the correct option in green, or a wrong option in red.

  3. Click the title or the text of the feedback to edit it.

Add, move and delete answer options

1. Add an option: click the + box below the last option.

  • Move an option: select it and use the arrow up or arrow down button on its left.

  • Delete an option: select it and click the red trash button on its left.
