The Start Template appears at the start of a learning bite and gives a short introduction about its content, supported by media (image or video) in the top of the screen.

Setting it up

Below fields are present within this template. They can be found in the content builder. Fields with an * are required.

Content ID*

A unique identifier for the module. Only shown in the content builder.

Media*

Here, you can upload media (maximum of one image or one video) that is shown on the start page.

Choose between image or video

Image

  • Image: image uploader for JPG, PNG, GIF.

  • Image alt: image description for accessibility purposes (e.g. blind users with a screen reader).

  • Hide image overlay checkbox: the image has a dark overlay to increase readability of the text. Disabling this checkbox will disable the overlay. Please note that disabling this might reduce readability.

Video URL

URL (e.g. from Vimeo, YouTube). These videos cannot be styled since they will adopt the styling of the video player of whatever website they are coming from.

Video upload

  • Video: Video uploader for MP4 with H.264 codec.

  • Poster: Image uploader (JPG, PNG, GIF) for a video thumbnail.

Heading (text only)

A heading that will be shown in the module, underneath the Start image and module title.

Text (rich text)

A body text that supports bulleted or numbered lists, hyperlinks, bold and italic texts.
