Create a progression report in Reporting > Progression in /control, then export it, save it, or schedule it.

Where progression reports are created

Progression reports are set up in Reporting > Progression.

🔥 Important:

Reporting > Progression is where you build the report.

Reporting > Exports is where you download export files once they’re ready.

How to create a progression report

  1. Go to Reporting > Progression

  2. Click Create new

Select what you want to report on

  1. Select the reporting level:

    • Activities

    • Journeys

    • Programmes

  2. Add filters to narrow down the report (user/content filters, see below)

Filters

👥 User

You can filter by:

  • Groups

  • Target within groups

  • Contract start date from

  • Contract start date to

  • Export active users only (checkbox)

📚 Content

Available options depend on whether you selected Activities, Journeys, or Programmes. Common filters include:

  • Individual activities (activity level only)

  • Journeys (available when reporting on activities or journeys)

  • Programmes

  • Core and optional content

  • Completion date (completed content only)

  • Include user progress who no longer have access (checkbox)

  • Include sections (journey level only)

Relative time filters

Use relative time filters to automatically pull data for specific time periods (e.g., "last week" or "last month"). Set the filter once, and it will keep reporting on the correct time period, such as weekly compliance completions or monthly performance reviews.

✏️ Note:

When a date filter is set only progress for content with a completion date that falls into this time period is included in the report

📊 Global completion rate

Progression reporting provides completion insights per activity, journey, programme, or group. It does not calculate a single aggregated global completion rate across all available content by default.

💡 Tip: If you need a platform-wide completion figure, you can derive it from the available reporting data. The exact number depends on how you define “global completion” (for example: completion per assigned content vs completion across all available content) and the size of your platform.

What you can do after you create a report

After you create a report, you can choose one of these actions:

  • Export (download the report as an Excel file)

  • Create a schedule (send the same report automatically on a recurring basis)

  • Save report (keep the same parameters so you can reuse them later)
