Progression exports let you download both interpreted report views and raw data sheets. This is useful when you want to share results, build custom dashboards, or run deeper analysis in Excel.
Export progression data
Go to Reporting > Progression
Create a report (select level and filters)
Select the template(s) you want included (for example: Progress per user or Progress per group)
See differences below
Click Export
Choose your export type
When you click Export, you’ll be asked to select one or more templates to include in your export.
Detailed progress per user
Use this when you need the most complete view of each learner’s progression.
This template includes:
Learner progression details
User and group information
The activities included in the report
Duration (total training time)
Progress per user (default)
Use this when you want to track individual learner performance without the extra export details.
This template includes:
Learner progression details
Activity or journey completion data (depending on your report level)
Progress per group
Use this when you want to compare progress across cohorts.
This template includes:
Aggregated progress data by group (for example: departments, teams, or markets)
Progress through activities and journeys
A clear view for comparing groups and spotting trends or areas needing attention
None selected
Use this when you only want the raw export sheets.
Result: You’ll get only the raw data (no interpreted “progress per user” or “progress per group” summary tabs).
🔥 Important:
If you choose None selected, the export is best used for custom analysis in Excel (for example: filtering, pivot tables, and building your own templates).
Download the export
Go to Reporting > Exports
Find your export in the list
Check the status (exports may take time to generate)
Download the Excel file once it’s ready
✏️ Note:
Creating a new export can take several seconds up to a few minutes, depending on the size of the export you’re generating and the size of your platform.
💡 Tip: You can track progress and download the file once it’s ready in Reporting > Exports.
What’s included in the export file
Your export may include different sheets depending on the template(s) you selected.
Common sheets include:
Progress per user (interpreted report view)
Users (raw data)
Activities or Journeys (raw data, depending on your report level)
Progress (raw data)
💡 Tip:
The interpreted sheets are helpful for quick reporting. The raw sheets are best for custom analysis.
