Every version you save in Studio is kept in the version history, so you can always look back at an earlier version or bring it back, nothing gets lost!
Save a version
As soon as you make a change, the button at the top of the activity switches to Save version
Click Save version
In the pop-up, describe What did you change?
Click Save
The button now shows All changes saved, and your new version is added to the history
✏️ Tip
Save a version after every bigger change and write a short note, like "Updated quiz questions", it makes the right version much easier to find later
View an earlier version
Open the activity in Content > Activities
Click the clock icon in the menu on the right
In the Versions panel, click the three-dot menu next to a version
Select View
Each version shows who saved it and when
👀 Good to know
While you're viewing an older version you can't edit it, the clock icon turns blue to show you're looking at the past
Restore an earlier version
Open the Versions panel with the clock icon
Click the three-dot menu next to the version you want
Select Restore
That's it, you can carry on editing from that point!
👀 Good to know
Restoring doesn't delete anything, it adds the restored version as a new version on top. Restored the wrong one? Just restore your newer version again
