Content guideline for the Carousel Template

Written by Marie Xhauflair

The Carousel template shows a series of slides that learners swipe or tap through. Each slide combines an image with a short text, preceded by an intro pop-up.

Setting it up

You set up this template in two places in Studio: the panel on the left, and the preview on the right.

In the left panel

Hide numbers (checkbox)

  • By default, each slide image shows a number.

  • Ticking this box hides the numbers.

Show instructions (checkbox)

  • Part of the Intro settings.

  • Ticking this box shows an extra line in the intro pop-up: "Swipe or tap on the arrows to explore the images."

Image*

  • Under Slides, each slide needs an image.

  • Click Choose File to upload an image, or from library to use an image you uploaded before.

In the preview

The intro and the slide texts are edited directly in the preview.

Intro

  • A pop-up with a heading and a text, shown before learners explore the slides.

  • Learners click Continue to close it.

Slides

  • Below the image, each slide has a label, a title and a text.

  • Use the arrows and numbers below the preview to move through the preview.

Add, move and delete slides

  • Add a slide: click the + in the dashed box after the last slide

  • Move a slide: use the arrow left or arrow right button above the slide

  • Delete a slide: click the red trash button above the slide
