Sometimes the person who needs to review your content does not work in the platform. A subject matter expert, a compliance officer, a client or a translator, don't necessarily need to have access to other parts of the platform, expect the ones they need to review.
You can now invite them to review specific activities, without them needing to login or create an account. They will be able to read it the activities, and comment on them, and nothing else.!
What an invited reviewer can and cannot do
An invited reviewer only sees the activity you, as an admin, invited them to, in preview, with the comments panel next to it.
They can:
go through the activity
add comments on the whole activity or on a specific template
read all comments and reply to them
resolve the comments they wrote themselves
They cannot:
edit or publish your content
see other content in your platform
see users, audiences, results or settings
resolve comments written by someone else, unless they are an admin

Access is granted per activity. Invite the same person to three activities and they get three separate invitations, each with its own link.
How they get access
You do not have to set anything up for them.
When you invite someone who is not in your platform yet, their account is created automatically in the background. They do not sign up and they do not choose a password. The invitation email has a button that takes them straight into the activity, with no login screen in between.
đ Good to know
If the email address already belongs to someone in your platform, their existing account is reused. They keep everything they already had, and they log in the way they always do.
The first time a new reviewer arrives, they are asked to fill in their name. This is on purpose, so every comment they leave is signed with a real name.
How to invite someone
Open the activity in Studio
Open the comments panel
Go to the Reviewers tab
Pick a person from the dropdown, or type any email address
Add a personal message if you want to
Send the invitation
People who already have access to this activity appear in the list marked as already invited, so you cannot invite the same person twice by accident.
You can invite several people at once. If one email address turns out to be wrong, the others are still invited.
âď¸ Tip
The personal message is carried into the invitation email. Use it to say what you would like them to look at, for example "Could you check the medical terminology in step 3?"
đ§ Be careful
On large platforms, sending an invitation can take up to 20 seconds. Give it a moment before clicking again.
Staying in the loop
Once you invite someone, you automatically start following that activity. You get an email every time a new comment is posted on it, including comments from your reviewer.
You can switch this off with the bell in the comments panel, or with the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the notification email.
Reviewers do not follow the activity automatically. They can switch their own bell on if they want to hear about other people's comments.
When you reply to a comment your reviewer wrote, they get an email about it. That is how they know to come back and look.

Removing someone's access
When a review round is finished, you can take the access away again.
Open the activity in Studio
Open the comments panel
Go to the Reviewers tab
Remove the person from the list
Their access to that activity stops immediately, and their link stops working. If they are reviewing other activities, those keep working as normal.
Their comments stay where they are, so you do not lose the feedback they gave you.

Nobody is told by email that their access has been removed.
