As a trainer or admin, you’ll create and manage events within sections so learners can register, attend, and complete the session activity.
This article is part of the Sessions guide. Before creating events, you’ll need to first create a section. Check out this article on creating sections within sessions!
About events within section
A section can contain one or more events
Events must be added in chronological order, each new event must occur after the previous one
Learners registered to a section are automatically registered to all events within it
All events must be completed and attendance confirmed for the session to be marked as complete for learners
How to create events within a section
Inside your section (e.g. Events January - March), click + Add event
Fill in the event details:
Event name: e.g. What Sales Really Is (and Isn’t)
Date & time: Must be after the registration period ends
Trainer: Select from the list (only users in the trainer group with access to this participant group will appear)
Event type: Choose from:
Online (add meeting link)
In-person (add physical location)
Hybrid (add both)
Notes for learners (optional): Add a motivational or forward-looking message
e.g. “Start strong! Sales is about understanding people, not just products.”
Click Save event
🔁 Add more events
Repeat the same process to add more events to the section:
Event 2: The Modern Sales Process Explained (must happen after Event 1)
Event 3: Understanding Your Customer (must happen after Event 2)
🔥 Important
Events within a section must be ordered chronologically. Each new event must occur after the one before it.
✅ Finalise the section
Once you’ve added and saved at least one event, you’ll be redirected to the section overview. Click Save to finalise the creation of this section within the session.
You’ll then see an overview of the section, including:
📅 All upcoming events in the section
🧑🏫 Assigned trainers
👥 List of registered participants
From this view, admins and trainers can also register participants manually, edit event details, or add more events as needed.
