The platform includes a set of default notifications that cannot be disabled. These notifications can be customised and, in some cases, personalised, but they cannot be deleted or fully turned off.
These platform emails are sent automatically by the system, they are not the same as emails created through automations.

Types of platform notifications
The platform includes a set of default notifications that inform users about important actions and system events. These notifications are sent automatically and cannot be disabled, but their content can be customized in most cases.
They are divided into two main categories:
General platform notifications
Session-related notifications
Both types help ensure users stay informed and engaged throughout their learning journey.
General platform notifications and emails
Our platform offers a wide range of general notifications/emails to keep users informed and engaged. The table below highlights all the notification/email types learners could receive.

Invitation email | An email is sent to each user to set up their account. To edit the text: Terminology>emails>invite>text |
Invitation reminder email | A follow-up email can be sent to users to join the platform after receiving the initial invitation. These emails are manually triggered via Users>Invitations.

Welcome back email | An email is sent to welcome users back to the platform after being unuspended. To edit the email's text navigate to Terminology>emails>unsuspended>title |
Password reset | Users receive an email which assists them in resetting their password.

Digest notification | Digest emails bundle all notifications from the social timeline about new posts from colleagues, or trainers and comments on your own posts. Each email links directly to the timeline, making it easy to jump back into the conversation.
You can adjust this notifications' frequency via user profile (Profile>Settings>platform update emails), but make sure the platform has the 'Social timeline' feature enabled (Settings>Features>Social timeline). |
Feedback requested | Learners are notified when a peer has asked for feedback on Social Challenges.
Terminology>feedback>notifications. You can then choose whether to edit the link attached to the feedback request, the message, or the title. |
User import completed | Admins receive a notification confirming that a user import process has been completed.
To edit the text of this message navigate to Terminology>emails>provisioning>message. |
Manager notification to Buddy | Managers can notify Buddy upon pairing with a new hire.
Terminology>buddies>compose_message>default_message_buddy. |
Manager notification to new hire | Managers can notify the new hire upon pairing with a new hire.

Manager notification to old Buddy | Managers can notify the new hire upon unpairing with a new hire to let them know that they are no longer a Buddy of the new hire.

Sessions notifications/emails
There are also a set of Sessions-related notifications/emails. These ensure users have all the necessary information to improve their blended learning experience. The Sessions notifications/emails include all kinds of details, from time-sensitive changes in the events to reminders for evaluations.

Sessions registered confirmation | Learners receive a confirmation upon registering for an event.
Terminology>sessions>modal_registered_confirmation>modal_registered_confirmation. |
Event reminder | Every attendee receives a reminder notification two days before each event.
To edit the message they receive go to Terminology>events>notifications>changed_message. |
Series full | Trainers can notify users when a session is fully booked. |
Sessions update | Trainers can notify the attendees when they update the event details, such as date, time, or location. |
Session cancellation | Attendees are notified if an event that they registered for is cancelled. |
Session evaluation reminder | Learners receive a notification if they still need to complete the session evaluation two days after completing all the all the events. |
Sessions registration by trainer | When a trainer registers a learner for an event, the learner receives a notification. |
Sessions unregistration by trainer | When a trainer unregisters a learner for an event, the learner receives a notification. |
Sessions registration from waiting list | Learners are notified when a spot becomes available for an event that they are on the waiting list for and automatically registered. |
