Each user's profile in Control includes an Audit tab. This shows a complete history of changes to that account, such as group edits, status changes, and permission updates.
It's a key tool for troubleshooting and for working efficiently across admin teams. This article shows you how to find the audit log and what it includes.
Where to find a user's audit log
Go to Users > Users
Click on a user to open their profile
Select the Audit tab in the top menu
What the audit log tracks
The audit log records all updates made to a user account, including:
Changes to group membership
Updates to user status (e.g., suspended or reactivated)
Profile edits (e.g., login dates, visibility settings)
Permission or role changes
Each log entry includes:
Action taken
Actor who made the change
Date and time of the change
🔥 Important:
Some actions may be logged as “Anonymous user” if done by import or during initial setup.
Why the audit log is important for collaboration
The audit log helps teams stay aligned and avoid confusion when managing users:
See who made what change: no guessing or finger-pointing
Understand context before making further updates
Coordinate better across admins when handing off user management
Create accountability for sensitive changes like suspensions or permission edits
💡Tip:
Use it alongside the Reporting tab to get a full view of both actions taken and user progress
