Our latest release is about giving you more control over the learning flow. With this new iteration, you'll be able to offer a more customised learning experience for learners enrolled in a programme, and recommend the right content at the right time:

  1. Drag it as you please: programmes will now be collected within and added as a widget to the discovery stream, enabling you to place it anywhere on the stream.

  2. What's relevant is dominant: learners will now be seeing programmes they are following as first in the list to help them jump straight back in.

  3. Improved recommended module: learners will now receive better recommendations at the end of each module.

The programmes widget πŸ“Ί

Enjoy more flexibility over the learning design as admin, while learners can keep track of their progress better. Until now, programmes have been a fixed element on platforms where journeys are organised in this way. This meant that they occupied a prominent place at the top of the discovery stream.

From now on, however, you can control and organise programmes like a Sessions widget: add it to your discovery stream, drag it to the right spot in the stream, and programmes will become visible to the learners with access to them. This flexibility will allow you to make better use of the social presence feature too, creating a sense of togetherness during the learning experience.

The programme widget is configured in such a way to facilitate making progress in programmes. This means that the programme a learner has started will be displayed first in the widget, followed by programmes they have access to but haven't started yet. Completed programmes will be placed as last items within the widget.

What are programmes for again? πŸ‘€

A lot has happened since the release of this feature, so let's do a short recap πŸ˜‰.

Programmes come with a range of benefits:

  1. Programmes allow you to organise the learning content and place journeys in succession. Do you have multiple journeys that can be organised under a certain theme and should be completed in a given order? Programmes enable you to do just that.

  2. By organising content in this way, you also create a more goal-driven learning experience. By starting a programme and seeing the journey ahead, learners are given more clarity, structure and purpose, all of which can boost their motivation levels.

  3. As a cherry on the cake, you can also set a due date and milestones for programmes to leverage the power of deadlines as a proven tool for boosting focus and perseverance.

Recommended bites upgrade 🧭

This iteration features an upgrade in the end-of-module recommendations for learners. You can now provide them a better flow in the learning experience by suggesting the right learner the right content at the right time.

So, how does the logic work? πŸ€”

  • The next recommended module is calculated based on the journey or the widget the learner follows. This means that if a certain module is in multiple journeys or widgets, the next module will be picked from the journey or widget that matches with the learning history of the user.

  • It also allows learning and implementation specialists the predictability they need to design and implement effective and engaging learnings paths.
