How to create an export including the total training time

You can export total training time data for all users on your Growth platform. This feature allows you to easily access and analyse each user's time spent on learning, providing valuable insights into engagement and progress. ๐Ÿ’กPlease note: we measure training time by activities completed, with each activity having its own duration time defined in Control. This means that training time does not refer to actual time spent on the platform. Read on to check how you can quickly adjust the duration time.

By exporting this data, you can track user activity and monitor overall learning effectiveness to make data-driven decisions about your Growth platform. Whether you need to report on learning progress to stakeholders or evaluate the overall effectiveness of platform, total training time data can provide the information you need.


Adjusting activity duration

Following the steps below, you can give an indication of how long a certain activity will take to complete. This information is not only useful for the learner and their motivation levels, but also for admins who evaluate the effectiveness of learning formats. Note: you can adjust the duration on any format, including the download template and direct video format.

Step 1. From the Content > Activities tab in Control, find the activity you want to adjust.

Step 2. Hover on the activity and then on "Edit" button.

Step 3. By 'Duration', add a custom duration (e.g. 5 mins).


Exporting the total training time

Step 1. From the Users tab in Control, use the three dot menu to access the 'Export users' option.

Step 2. Click on 'Create a new export'.

Step 3. Select the group(s) you would like to include in the export.

Step 4. Select whether you want to include the total training time in the export, and if you want it to be limited to a specific timeframe ('Yes, with customised dates').

Step 5. Click on 'Request export'.

Your request will now be displayed in the export overview under 'Users Exports' with an 'In progress' label. Once the export is done, you can download it from the overview.

  • We don't have the data of users who are removed from the platform. If you want this information, make sure to create the exports more frequently (e.g., monthly).

  • Time frame selection is mandatory - if you want to export the entire thing, ask for the custom date and add a date that is before the go live date of the platform.

  • Note that it may take a while for the export to be created. Make sure to visit and refresh this page regularly while you're waiting.
