The audio format is a single-screen activity where learners must listen to an audio file to finish the session. Itβs ideal for podcasts, guided instructions, meditations, or any voice-led experience.
π Why use the audio format?
Use this format to:
Deliver meditations, music, or voice recordings
Share podcasts or audio stories (for example, stories on the floor)
Let learners focus on listening without reading text
Support different learning styles (especially audio learners)
π οΈ To create an audio activity
Go to Content > Activities > and create a new activity
Select the Audio format
Add a title, intro text, and upload an image
Supported image formats:
JPG
PNG
GIF
π The image appears at the top of the activity and on the activity tile.
π Choose your audio source
In Studio, select one of the following audio sources from the dropdown:
Audio upload: Upload an MP3 file
Audio URL: Paste a direct link to an audio file
Audio embed: Paste an embed code (Spotify, SoundCloud, Apple Music)
Optional settings
Hide the image overlay: Removes the dark gradient displayed over the image
π‘ Tip:
Use this option if your image already has enough contrast for text readability.

Within the audio activity, go to Select type of media
Choose Audio upload
Hover on the top right corner of the audio fragment place holder for the pencil icon to appear
π How to add an audio URL
Use this option when your audio file is already hosted online.
Within the audio activity, go to Select type of media
Choose Audio URL
Hover on the top right corner of the audio fragment place holder for the pencil icon to appear
π How to embed an audio player
Within the audio activity, go to Select type of media
Choose Audio embed
Hover at the bottom of the slide for the pencil icon to appear
There, you can add the embed code
Spotify example
Follow these steps to embed audio from Spotify:
Open the Spotify app
Go to the artist profile, album, song, playlist, or podcast you want to share
Click the three dots next to it
Copy the embed code shown in the pop-up
Paste the embed code into the Audio embed field in Studio (shown above)
The embed code should look similar to this:

β Save and publish
Once your audio is set:
Click Save
Publish the activity from Studio so itβs available to learners

Learners must listen to the audio to complete the activity.

Just make sure you paste the full embed code into the Audio embed field in Studio.
