We have two amazing news for you. Read until the end for more surprises ๐Ÿคญ Let's start with the first treat.
โ€‹
The moment that everyone has been waiting for has arrived. Our product team has spent several months building a long-awaited product update in the session feature ๐Ÿ˜ drum roooolls...

We introduce event series.

What are event series?
Event series are part of sessions and it means you can create multiple events that are part of one series. This allows learners tor register for multiple events at once. Yay!
โ€‹
โ€‹Why will event series improve your learning experience?
Effective learning activities take place over time and in a social setting. With event series, you enable the trainer and (same group of) learners to meet over the course of multiple events. You can also pre-plan a series of masterclasses, bootcamps, coaching sessions etc.
โ€‹
โ€‹Example
Event series "Masterclasses A": 5x events every Tuesday at 9 a.m.
Event series "Masterclasses B": 5x events every Friday at 15 a.m.
...

Or event series "Bootcamp for Beginners":

  • Webinar 1 on Monday 15 a.m.

  • Classroom training on Tuesday 9 a.m.

  • Webinar 2 on Wednesday 15 a.m.

  • Coaching on Friday 9 a.m.

Learners can register to one of these event series and need to attend all events in the series to complete the session. If you still want to create only a single event as a trainer, then simply create a series with only one event.

Feature details

Letโ€™s see whatโ€™s new and what has been improved. We sneaked some additional features in than the initial plan; see if you can find them.

Sit tight; itโ€™s going to be an extensive list of improvements ๐Ÿ˜Ž

For Trainers

  • The session overview is optimised to accommodate the displaying of event series instead of only single events. All the scheduled event series in the future, in progress, and in the past are now visible on one page.

  • As for managing events, it is possible to confirm attendance for each event separately and export the attendee list for the entire event series. In the export, you will see separate tabs for each event and the attendance status of participants for each event.

  • For event series with multiple hosts, you can now add a generic host email to the series to streamline the communication. If no host email is specified, learners can now select a specific host to send their email to.

For learners

  • As a learner, you can register for an entire event series (that consists of multiple events) with only one click and leave an optional comment for the host(s).

  • The confirmation email that learners receive after registration has been updated to accommodate multiple events. This email will contain an attachment that will add all the events to your calendar with one click.

  • The overview of events is optimised for the learners. You can now see all the details of each event before registering: whether they are multi-day or one-day events, offline or online, exact dates, times, locations, hosts, and whether you are registered or not.

  • Learners can deregister from an event series at any time, even if some events are in the past and even if they completed the module. This will reset your module and the learner will have to register to a new series to complete the module (donโ€™t worry, the platform will show you a warning).

  • Once you register for an event series, the module tile will show you the date of the first upcoming event. When all events are in the past, the tile will show you whether you need to fill an evaluation or whether your attendance still needs to be submitted by the host.

For Admins

  • Admins can see an updated module detail page for Sessions. Besides all the details of the event series (e.g., date, time, whether it consists of a single or multiple events), admins can also see that a learner attended X out of Y events in a series. The attendance info is shown in green or red, indicating whether a learner has (or has not) attended all the past events.

You will love what has been shipped this sprint. You can already start exploring the event series on the platforms. An intercom article is also on the way for more detailed explanations. Stay tuned and enjoy hosting ๐Ÿคญ

You didn't think this was it for this sprint, right? We have more for you! This one will make admins happy.
The transfer progress feature is back, and it's stronger than before ๐Ÿ’ช

Admins can transfer the progress of a user to another one. Are you curious about how and why? ๐Ÿ‘€ Check out our freshest intercom article guiding you through the transfer progresses.
