How to set font colours on your platform

For users who want to tweak highlight, dark, light, and subtitle colours.

You can customise the font colours used on your platform to ensure readability and align with your brand. Below is an overview of the font colour settings available, where they are used, and how to set them up.


🎨 Font colour types


1. Highlighted

Used for highlighted titles and texts (e.g. question headers, buttons). Choose a colour that’s easy to read on a white background.

Example usages:

  • Headings in certain question types

  • Supertitles in activities


2. Dark

Most commonly used font colour. Appears on body text and titles with light backgrounds.

Example usages:

  • Discovery stream titles

  • Activity titles

  • Programme descriptions

  • Header and posts on your timeline:

  • Body text in your activities

  • Body texts in your notifications:


3. Light

Used on dark backgrounds or images (e.g. magic wall banners or dark mode). Ensure high contrast for readability.

Example usages:

  • Text on your magic wall

  • Labels in activities

  • Widget buttons and subtitles

  • Feedback in your activities

  • End screen of your activities:


4. Subtitle

Used for subtitles or smaller instructional text. Pick a soft but readable colour.

Example usage:

  • Instructions under headings in activities

  • Instruction texts in several navigation bar items (e.g. 'My progress'):


⚙️ How to set font colours

  1. Go to Control → Settings → Layout

  2. Scroll to the section titled Font Colours

  3. You’ll find editable fields for each type of font colour:

    • Highlighted

    • Dark

    • Light

    • Subtitle

  4. Enter a hex colour code for each (e.g. #3900d6 for purple)

💡 Tip: You can use a color contrast checker to ensure your selections are accessible.
