Content guideline for the Range Slider Template

With the Range Slider template, you can ask a question to which users can provide their answer by adjusting a slider. You can provide feedback to the user, show answers from other learners on the results page, and/or display scripted answers from (fictional) colleagues.

Setting it up

Below fields are present within this template. They can be found in the content builder. Fields with an * are required.

Content ID*

Name of this template, only shown in the content builder.

Image + alt

Image uploader for JPG, PNG, GIF. + Image description for accessibility purposes (e.g. blind users with a screen reader).

Supertitle (text only)

An optional supertitle that is placed above the title.

Heading (text only)

A heading for the range slider.

Description (rich text)

A text that supports bulleted and numbered lists, bold and italic texts.

Range slider

  • Question*: The question text, used in analytics and shown to the learner.

  • Start value (number)*: The start value of the slider used in analytics.

  • Start label (text only)*: The start label of the slider as shown to the learner. Here you can add a unit to your start value, e.g. ‘0%’ instead of ‘0’ or ‘500 people’ instead of ‘500’.

  • End value (number)*: The end value of the slider used in analytics.

  • End label (text only)*: The end label of the slider as shown to the learner. Here you can add a unit to your end value, e.g. ‘100%’ instead of ‘100’ or ‘2000 people’ instead of ‘2000’.

  • Step size (number): Increase the step size of the slider handle by increasing the number (default: 1).

  • Initial slider position (dropdown)*: You can pick an initial slider position which is where the slider handle will be positioned when first visiting the question. Options are 'start', 'middle' and 'end'.

Feedback

Here you can add a neutral feedback text that is shown to the user after they answered the question.

  • Title (text only)*: A title for the feedback.

  • Text (rich text)*: A text that supports bulleted and numbered lists, bold and italic texts.
