The 'Hotspot Visible' template is used to explain multiple elements in one image. You can place markers on top of the image and add descriptive texts for each marker. The hotspot is preceded by an introduction pop-up with a title and descriptive text.

Setting it up

Below fields are present within this template. They can be found in the content builder. Fields with an * are required.

Content ID*

Title of this template, only shown in the content builder.

Intro
Information added here will be shown in the introduction of the learning format.

  • Heading (text only)*: A heading that will be visible to the user.

  • Text (rich text)*: A body of text that supports bulleted or numbered lists, hyperlinks, bold and italic texts.

  • Show instructions (checkbox): Ticking this box will show an extra line of instructions (i.e. ‘Tap the arrows to explore the image’) in the intro pop-up.

Hotspot

This is where you create the visible hotspot.

  • Title*: A title for this hotspot, used in analytics and invisible to the user.

  • Image*: Image uploader for JPG, PNG, GIF.

  • Region selector*: Here you can select the regions that the hotspot texts refer to (see ‘hotspot texts’). Drag the selector to the correct location on the image.

Hotspot texts

Here you can add multiple hotspot texts. For each added hotspot a region selector appears on top of the image.

For every hotspot you can add:

  • Title (text only)*: Used in analytics and also shown to the user.

  • Text (richt text): A descriptive text that supports bulleted and numbered lists, hyperlinks, bold and italic texts.

  • Supertitle (text only): An optional supertitle that will show above the title.
