The Hotspot visible template explains several elements in one image. You place numbered markers on the image, and learners tap through them one by one to read the text that belongs to each marker.
Setting it up
You set up this template in the left panel and directly in the preview in Studio. The numbers in the screenshots match the numbers in the text.
In the left panel
1. Show instructions (checkbox)
Adds an instruction line to the intro pop-up.
The line reads "Tap on the arrows to explore the image."
Uncheck it to hide the line.
2. Image*
The image you place the markers on.
Every marker uses this same image.
Click Choose file to upload an image from your computer.
Click from library to use an image you uploaded before.
In the preview
You edit the intro and the markers directly in the preview.
Intro
The pop-up learners see before they start.
Click the heading or the text to edit it.
When Show instructions is on, the instruction line appears under the text.
Learners can open the intro again with the info icon above the image.
Markers
Each marker has its own slide with the image and its text underneath.
The blue numbered circle on the image is the marker. Drag it to the spot on the image that the text is about.
Under the image you edit the marker's text:
Supertitle: the short label above the title. The default text is "Region: Supertitle".
Title: the title of this marker. The default text is "Region: Title".
Text: the explanation for this marker. The default text is "Region: Text".
Learners use the arrows next to the title to go from one marker to the next.
Add, move and delete markers
Add a marker: click the + card after the last marker. The new marker appears at a random spot on the image, so drag it into place.
Move a marker: use the arrow left or arrow right button above the marker to change its place in the order.
Delete a marker: click the red trash button above the marker.
