Quiz Multiple Choice Template

Content guideline for the Quiz MPC Template

The MPC quiz template is a complete quiz: an intro page, one or more multiple choice questions and a results page with the score. Learners pass when they reach the percentage you set.

Setting it up

You set up this template in the left panel and directly in the preview in Studio. The numbers in the screenshots match the numbers in the text.

In the left panel

1. Hide the image overlay (checkbox), under Intro

  • The intro image has a dark overlay so the text stays readable.

  • Tick this box to remove the overlay. This may make the text harder to read.

2. Button*

  • The text on the button that starts the quiz, for example "Start quiz".

3. Threshold percentage*

  • The percentage of correct answers learners need to pass, from 0 to 100.

4. Send SCORM score (checkbox)

  • When the activity is exported as SCORM, the score is sent to the LMS.

  • Only turn this on for one quiz per exported activity.

5. Show instructions (checkbox), per question

  • Shows an instruction line under the question, such as "Select the correct answer".

6. Allow multiselect (checkbox), per question

  • Lets learners select more than one answer for this question.

7. Hide the image overlay (checkbox), under Outro

  • Removes the dark overlay from the results page image.

In the preview

The quiz has an intro, one slide per question and a results page. You edit them directly in the preview.

Intro

  1. Background image: click the pencil icon to choose one of these options:

    • View image: open the current image

    • Upload image: upload an image from your computer

    • Modify with AI: change the current image with AI

    • Select from library: use an image you uploaded before

  2. Heading: the title of the quiz.

  3. Text: explain the quiz, for example how many answers learners need to get right.

  4. Button: shows the button text you set in the left panel.

Questions

  1. Use the arrow left or arrow right button above the slide to move the question, or the red trash button to delete it.

  2. Counter: shows which question this is, for example "1 of 2".

  3. Image: an optional image above the question. Click the pencil icon on the image to change it.

  4. Question: the question learners answer.

  5. Instruction line: shown when Show instructions is on.

  6. Answer options: click a text to edit it. Click the circle in front of an option to mark it as the correct answer.

When Allow multiselect is on, a question looks like this:

  1. No image yet? Click the camera icon to add one.

  2. The instruction line reads "Multiple answers possible".

  3. Tick the box in front of each correct answer.

  4. Click the + box below the last option to add an answer option.

Results page

  1. Click ✓ to see the page for learners who passed, or × for learners who did not pass.

  2. Score: the number of correct and wrong answers.

  3. Heading and text: write a separate heading and text for passed and for not passed.

  4. Answers: every question with the learner's answer. Click a question to open it.

Each question in the Answers list shows its feedback (see 2 in the last screenshot). Click the feedback title or text to edit it. With ✓ you edit the correct feedback, with × the incorrect feedback.

👀 Good to know

Learners cannot retry the quiz. Use the "not passed" text to point them to the feedback on each question.

Add, move and delete questions

1. Add a question: hover between two slides and click the + button that appears.

  • Move a question: use the arrow left or arrow right button above the question slide.

  • Delete a question: click the red trash button above the question slide.
