The assignment template helps you measure whether learners can apply and demonstrate new or existing skills. It blends preparation, action, and reflection in a structured flow to support learning by doing.

This format is ideal for coaching, skill verification, or practice-based learning.

🎯 Why use it?

Use the assignment template to:

  • Check if learners can apply skills in real-life situations

  • Provide prep content before they begin

  • Guide learners through a step-by-step task

  • Let them reflect and submit feedback afterward

🛠️ How to create an assignment activity

  1. Go to Control > Content > Activities

  2. Click New activity and select Assignment

  3. Add a title, intro, and optional image

  4. Use the first screen to:

    1. Link other activities to serve as preparation for the assignment

    2. And explain to learners what they can expect

  5. Add steps, with clear action items

Finish with the Reflect screen for learner feedback

🧠 Reflections: how to add survey questions

In the Reflect step, you can add one or more questions to help learners evaluate their experience.

Open question

  • Question (text only): The prompt learners will answer (used for analytics)

  • Placeholder (text only): Optional field hint, like “Write your feedback here”

Range slider

  • Question (text only): What you want learners to rate (e.g. How confident did you feel?)

  • Min / Max (number): Define the scale range (e.g. 0 to 100)

  • Step size (number): Set the increments between values (e.g. 10)

  • Range sections: Divide the scale into labeled ranges for clarity
    For each section:

    • Label (text only): Descriptive label (e.g. Not at all or Very much)

    • Start / End (number)*: Numbers must fall within the overall min/max range

⚙️ In Settings, you can adjust

  • Content ID: Add a unique identifier

  • Duration: Estimated completion time (in minutes), shown on the activity tile
