Spotlight widget types: activity, journey, and programme

Spotlight widgets highlight a single activity, journey, or programme in a way that grabs attention. These widgets can appear at any point in the learning experience, but always take over the full screen ensuring the content gets the visibility it deserves.

Widget

Use it for

Spotlight Activity

- Welcome message or intro video for new joiners
- Highlight an end-of-campaign quiz or reflection
- Draw attention to a short update or change

Spotlight Journey

- Lead users into a new compliance journey
- Re-engage learners in an ongoing campaign
- Spotlight the next part of a multi-step path

Spotlight Programme

- Encourage sign-up for a leadership programme
- Promote a new cross-functional training series
- Spotlight a full career growth campaign that needs enrolment


How to set up spotlight widgets

Spotlighted activity

  1. Go to Behaviour > Stream

  2. Click the + icon and select Spotlighted Activity

  3. Give it an internal name (this won’t be visible to users)

  4. Select the activity you want to spotlight

  5. Add a supertitle to explain the context or importance (optional)

  6. Click Add widget

  7. Connect an automation to target the right users

Spotlighted journey

  1. Go to Behaviour > Stream

  2. Click the + icon and select Spotlighted Journey

  3. Give it an internal name

  4. Select the journey you want to spotlight

  5. Add a supertitle for extra learner context

  6. Click Add widget

  7. Connect an automation to make it visible to the right learners

Spotlighted programme

  1. Go to Behaviour > Stream

  2. Click the + icon and select Spotlighted Programme

  3. Give it an internal name

  4. Select the programme you want to spotlight

  5. Add a supertitle to emphasise the importance of the programme

  6. Click Add widget

  7. Connect an automation to show it to the right learners
