Before you can use the timeline or set up timeline permissions, you need to first enable the feature on the platform.

Now you can configure timeline permissions for your groups:

  • Open TinQwise Control on your platform.

  • Go to 'Groups', select the group you want to give posting rights in Timeline.

  • From the hamburger menu on the right, select 'Add permissions'

  • Select the 'post status update in this group' permission and enter the group you wish to grant the rights to, and save.

  • If you enter the same target group as the one you're currently editing (so group A can post to group A), this group will be able to post to their own group in the Timeline.

  • If you enter another target group than the one you're currently editing (so group A can post to group B), this group will be able to post to the other group in the Timeline, but not the other way around. This could be relevant for certain moderator or manager groups.

You can then notify users that they can post in the Timeline.

What can you do on the Timeline?

  • writing posts editing them and deleting them

  • embed links or gifs

  • add attachments incl. images and videos

  • add activity links
