The Progress over time graph in Reporting > Progression helps you understand how completion changes over time.

Visualise your teamโ€™s progress with a line graph that shows activity completion over time. Use it to spot trends, identify where learners get stuck, and recognise progress as it happens.

Where to find the graph

  1. Go to Reporting > Progression

  2. Create a report (or open an existing saved report)

  3. Scroll to Progress over time graph

๐Ÿ”ฅ Important:

The graph reflects the filters and reporting level you selected for your report (for example: groups, content, completion date).

What the graph shows

The graph displays progress trends over time based on the report you created.

You can use it to:

  • Compare progress across groups (for example: Hospitality vs Marketing vs Sales)

  • Spot dips and spikes in completion

  • Identify which groups are improving over time

Switch between percentage and absolute views

In the top-right of the graph, you can switch between:

  • % (percentage view): Helpful for comparing groups of different sizes

  • # (absolute view): Helpful for seeing actual numbers completed

๐Ÿ’ก Tip:

Use % when comparing performance fairly across groups. Use # when you need the real volume of completions.

Change the time view

Use the time dropdown (for example: Month) to change the time grouping.

Common options include:

  • Monthly

  • Weekly

  • Yearly

๐Ÿ’ก Tip:

Switch to weekly when you want to see short-term changes (like the impact of a new rollout).

View detailed data by hovering

Hover over a data point to see detailed values for that time period.

This helps you:

  • Confirm exact completion values

  • Compare groups at the same point in time

  • Investigate spikes or drops

Completion overview table

The completion overview table provides a clear, at-a-glance comparison of progress across different user groups. The colour-coding helps you quickly identify where to focus your efforts to improve completion rates.

Colour-coded insights:

Quickly identify low, medium, and high completion rates with colour-coded cells, making it easy to spot areas that need attention.
