Assistants offer in-platform guidance and information directly inside TinQwise NOW. They help the right users get the right information at the right time. You can create as many assistants as you need and target them to specific groups, roles or learning goals.
🧩 What assistants do
Assistants provide conversational support inside NOW, helping users:
Understand what to do next
Access relevant content
Get answers based on your platform’s asset collections
Experience helpful role-play scenarios within the NOW interface
💡 Tip:
Assistants can be different for each group. This makes it easier to provide role- or region-specific support.
🛠 How to create an assistant
Follow these steps to create a new assistant:
Go to TinQwise NOW > Assistants
Click New assistant
Step 1: Add assistant info
Give the assistant a clear name. Example: Onboarding – Netherlands
Add a short description of what this assistant supports
(This is for internal use and does not affect the answers the assistant gives)
Step 2: Select knowledge sources
Choose which content the assistant can use to answer user questions:
All collections (default): The assistant can access all available asset collections on the platform
Specific collections: Limit the assistant to selected content only (for example, Netherlands)
Step 3: Enable or disable role-play scenarios
Role-play scenarios allow users to practise real-world interactions inside the NOW interface. You can toggle these on or off based on what the assistant should support.
Enable scenarios relevant to the assistant’s goal
These appear during the user’s flow in NOW, not as separate activities
✏️ Note:
Turning off a scenario here does not affect any standalone role-play activities available elsewhere.
Step 4: Assign a group
Decide who will see this assistant in NOW by assigning it to a group:
Choose a specific group from the drop-down menu
(e.g. Netherlands)Or select All users if the assistant should be visible platform-wide
This ensures the right people see the right assistant, based on their role, location or other group criteria.
👀 Good to know about assistants
Multiple assistants: You can create as many assistants as you need for different roles, teams or countries
Group targeting matters: Only users in the assigned group(s) can access an assistant in NOW
Default behaviour: If a user is in more than one group with assigned assistants, the assistant that appears first alphabetically will be shown to them
No assistant = no access: If no assistants are set up or assigned, users will see an error when trying to access NOW
Always make sure every relevant group has at least one assistant assigned to avoid access issues.
