Once a section within a session is complete, it’s important for the trainer or admin to confirm learner attendance, especially if “attendance to be confirmed by host” is enabled.

Sections and events overview within sessions

  1. On the session overview page, admins and trainers can see all sections within a session.

  2. Each section is grouped by status:

    • Upcoming

    • In progress

    • Past

  3. For past events within sections, a visual preview (with a checkmark ✅) is shown, indicating the event has already taken place.

  4. This makes it easy to track progress and confirm which sessions need attendance review or further action.

How to confirm attendance:

  1. Go to the section of the session and click on the section

  2. Scroll to the Past events (indicated by a ✅ checkmark)

  3. Click on the past event and scroll to participants and select Mark attendance

  4. Tick the box for each participant who attended

  5. Click Submit attendance

What will happen:

  • Participants marked as present will have a green check ✅

  • Participants not selected will automatically be marked absent

  • 🔁 You can update attendance later at any time by clicking Edit attendance.

✅ When is a session marked as complete for users?

A Session activity will only be marked as complete for a participant when all of the following are true:

  1. All events within the section have taken place

  2. The participant was registered to the section

  3. Their attendance has been confirmed for every event in that section

📌 Until all events are completed and attendance is confirmed, the session will remain “in progress” for the learner.
