As an admin, you can manage users, content, and settings across the platform. Admin mode makes that easier by giving you extra tools right in your view, no digging through menus.

💡 Tip: If you’re not sure what an admin is or how to promote someone to an admin, check out this article 👉 All about admins rights

🔍 What admin mode lets you do

When you're an admin, you'll see a special toolbar at the bottom-left of the screen in the LXP. You also get access to extra menu options on activities, journeys, and programs.

With admin mode, you can:

  • Open widget settings instantly

  • Access Edit, Automations, and Reporting from the •• menu

  • Impersonate users to troubleshoot or preview the experience

🔥 Important: You must be assigned the admin role to see these features. If you don't see the toolbar or menu options, contact another admin to check your role in Control > Settings > Roles.

⚙️ How to use admin mode

1. Use the bottom toolbar

Look for the admin toolbar in the bottom-left corner of the platform.

From here, you can:

  • Click the + icon to add or configure widgets

  • Use the Impersonate user… search to preview what a learner sees

💡 Tip: Impersonating is perfect for checking if the right content is visible to the right people.

2. Use the menu on activities, journeys, and programs

When viewing items like activities, click the •• icon in the top right corner of the card.

You’ll see options to:

  • Edit activity

  • View activity automations

  • View activity reporting

This saves time when managing content or troubleshooting workflows.
