What is it?

PE Online is a widely used platform for managing professional education (PE) and accreditation, primarily used in the healthcare field in the Netherlands. It automates the process of tracking completed courses, ensuring compliance with certification requirements, and maintaining accreditation records for learners. By automating these processes, PE Online reduces administrative burden and ensures that professionals remain compliant with industry standards.

In the context of learning platforms, PE Online integrates with educational systems to track course completions and submit them for accreditation. This ensures that professionals receive credit for their training without manual intervention.


How to integrate?

For a successful integration with PE Online, organizations must first request credentials from PE Online. After that, the feature can be enabled in the platform, and modules can be linked to PE Online.


Steps to Configure PE Online in TinQwise LXP

  1. Request credentials and accreditation from PE Online.

  2. Make sure all users have set up their PE Online registration number through an Importer, API integration or intake form.

  3. Enable the feature through Control>Settings>Features (for admins only)

  4. Link an activity to a PE online course


How to Enable PE Online Accreditation?

When enabling the plaform a window will open with the required fields. It is possible to modify the fields clicking on the


Fill in the required PE Online fields, if necessary provide the PE Online course ID and the PE Online module ID. Tackle "Enable" if the feature is not enabled yet, and hen click on "Save" at the bottom of the window.

User abd module requirements:

  • The user must have a PE number in their profile (e.g. BIG, VVN..).

  • The module must have the necessary details completed.

  • The module must be completed successfully.

Once a module is completed, it is automatically submitted to PE Online, meaning that the points are automatically registered. If the accreditation fails, the user can manually retry by clicking the button "Click to retry".

How do I link an activity to PE online?

  1. Edit the activity, navigate to the 'Settings' tabb and scroll down until you see 'Accreditation'.

  2. Modify the accreditation. The "Course ID" is mandatory, other fields are optional.

When the module is completed, the PE points are automatically registered.


It is not working, why?

  • If the accreditation does not work, verify that:

    • The PE Online course ID and module ID are correctly entered.

    • The user has a valid PE number.

    • The module has all required details and is marked as completed.

  • Email Configuration:

    • Update the email address pe-online-logs@studytube.nl to a valid, existing email address to resolve potential logging issues. (not sure about this point)
